A Perfect Day for a Pierce House Wedding
Kayla and Mike’s wedding day was the kind that makes you smile the whole way home. From the moment I saw them during their Carson Beach engagement session, I knew their wedding would have the same mix of warmth and fun. And I was right.
They started their day getting ready with the usual laughter, nervous excitement, and quiet moments that make weddings feel so real. Before we even got to the Pierce House, their ceremony set the tone for everything that followed.
St. Brigid’s Parish Church Wedding Ceremony in Lexington
There’s something about St. Brigid’s Parish that feels timeless. It’s a beautiful Lexington church with that classic New England feel—warm wood tones, soft light, and space that makes vows feel extra meaningful. Kayla walked down the aisle looking completely at ease, and the way Mike looked at her said everything.
The ceremony was full of those little moments you can’t stage. The kind that make a story personal—tight hand squeezes, whispered “we’re really doing this,” and a few happy tears as they exchanged rings. When they walked out as a married couple, the energy was pure joy.
Arriving at the Pierce House in Lincoln
After the ceremony, it was time for the part everyone had been waiting for: celebrating at the Pierce House. If you’ve never been, it’s one of the most loved wedding venues in Lincoln, MA for good reason. The Pierce House is this gorgeous historic home surrounded by big, green lawns and gardens that make you forget how close you are to Boston.
One of my favorite things about a Pierce House wedding is how versatile it feels. You get that old-world charm inside the house for portraits, and then you step outside to sprawling lawns and tree-lined paths that look amazing in photos no matter the season.
A Tented Reception on the Lawn
Cocktail hour flowed right into the tented reception, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The white tent sat on the back lawn of the Pierce House, and with the late afternoon light filtering through, everything felt open and relaxed. Guests mingled, laughed, and toasted to Kayla and Mike under a ceiling of soft draping and twinkling lights.
Dinner was full of stories, funny ones from friends, heartfelt ones from family. Their first dance had everyone watching with huge smiles, and when the music picked up later, the dance floor never slowed down. It’s hard not to feel the energy in a setting like that. A tented wedding reception at the Pierce House just has this effortless, elegant feel without being stuffy.
Wrapping Up an Incredible Wedding Day
By the time the night ended, the Pierce House felt like the perfect reflection of who Kayla and Mike are: welcoming, fun, and full of life. Every wedding is unique, but there’s something about this venue that makes it feel like home for everyone who’s there.
If you’re planning a Pierce House wedding, you’re in for something special. And if you’re looking for a photographer who can capture the real, candid moments from start to finish, I’d love to hear from you.
