PortfolioBoston documentary wedding photographer with a soft spot for multicultural, nontraditional, and intimate weddings
I’m a Boston-based wedding and elopement photographer who captures love in all its forms. I’m especially drawn to multicultural weddings, nontraditional love stories, and intimate celebrations, but no matter the setting, I care most about telling your story with authenticity. With a deep commitment to inclusive storytelling, I am proud to be a trusted gay wedding photographer in Boston, dedicated to capturing the unique magic of queer love stories throughout Massachusetts and New England.
When you work with me, you’ll get more than beautiful images; you’ll get an easy and personalized experience from start to finish. I’ll guide you when you need it, blend into the background when you don’t, and help you feel totally at ease in front of the camera. I’m here to capture the moments that matter most, because time will blur these moments, but we can make them unforgettable.
Look Around for…
Hi, I’m Sam!
I’ve been a wedding photographer for over a decade. I love wedding photography because I’ve always been fascinated by the connection and dynamics that make each couple unique, and I strive to tell their stories through my lens. Some of my favorite events are multicultural wedding, LGBT love stories, surprise proposals, elopements, and intimate weddings. If I wasn’t a wedding photographer, I’d probably open a cat cafe or own a food truck. In my spare time, I enjoy quiet moments in nature, summer night walks in the city, and making my husband’s favorite desserts – mango cheesecake, tiramisu, and tres leches.
More About Sam
I’m the right wedding photographer for you if…
- You’re over the “stiff” stuff. You want a wedding photographer who captures you as you actually are—no awkward chin-tucking or robotic posing.
- You value presence over a Pinterest board. You’re planning a wedding centered on honest connection, belly laughs, and the people in the room, rather than over-the-top setups.
- You want a “fly on the wall” with a vision. You’re looking for someone chill and easygoing who can blend into the background of your day while still catching the lightning-in-a-bottle moments.
- You want to feel your photos. You aren’t just looking for pretty pictures; you want images that serve as a return ticket to how you felt in that exact second.
- You just want to have fun. You’re ready to let go, trust your photographer, and focus on the celebration while I handle the storytelling behind the lens.

FAQs
Some common questions that I get asked often when I meet with couples.
My approach is all about authentic storytelling with a punch of color. I lean into a documentary style, which means I’m looking for those fleeting, honest moments that you might not even remember in the whirlwind of the day, but will treasure for a lifetime. I want your photos to feel alive, full of movement, emotion, and vibrant energy that makes you say “that is so us!”
As a Boston wedding photographer, I’m constantly inspired by the city’s architectural diversity. I love the timeless, romantic feel of Beacon Hill and the Public Garden, but I’m equally drawn to the modern, industrial lines of the Seaport District. Whether you’re planning a grand celebration at the Boston Public Library or an intimate ceremony in the South End, I know how to find the perfect light in every hidden corner of the city.
Popular dates fill up fast (especially spring and fall), so I recommend booking 9-12 months out. That said, don’t hesitate to reach out even if your wedding is sooner, I might still have availability!
