First off: massive congratulations on your engagement. Seriously, that’s huge. If you’re looking for an LGBT friendly wedding photographer who truly gets your vibe, whether that means including chosen family, breaking with tradition, or planning something totally different, I’m here for it. I approach every wedding with care, flexibility, and a focus on the moments that actually matter to you.
I’m Sam, a Boston-based wedding photographer serving Massachusetts and New England. My style is documentary wedding photography. What does that mean? I focus on real moments over stiff posing. I help you feel completely relaxed so your photos feel authentically you, because your wedding should be about celebrating, not performing.

Why I Specialize in LGBTQ+ Wedding Photography
Finding vendors who deeply get your experience is important. As a wedding photographer who’s also a part of the LGBT community, inclusivity is my everyday reality. I understand the unique joys and sometimes the specific considerations that come with planning a queer wedding. Having photographed dozens of gay weddings, from intimate city hall ceremonies to full-day wedding celebrations, that experience helps me read the room and get a sense of when to step in and when to let a moment unfold.
My goal is simple: create a space where you and your partner feel safe and celebrated, without assumptions and awkwardness, just real excitement to document your love. Whether you’re exchanging vows at the Boston Public Garden, hosting a dance party in a Somerville loft, or creating entirely new traditions – I’m fully here for it.

- LGBT Couples Sessions

A Newport wedding full of love Some weddings feel like they were meant to happen by the ocean. Andrew and Max’s Belle Mer wedding was one of those days where the light, the breeze, and the energy of everyone around...

Lisa and Alex’s engagement session at Walden Pond was quiet, foggy, and full of personality. From science-themed details to hiking through the woods, their photos feel like a love story unfolding in the woods of Concord.

Gretchenrae and Molly kept it low-key: a fall walk through the Arnold Arboretum and a stop at their favorite bookstore. One session to tell their story, and two places that are meaningful to them.

Your Ask, I Answer
Q: Do you only photograph gay weddings?
A: I celebrate all love stories! But being part of the community means I bring specific insight many queer couples appreciate. This work is my passion.
Q: Do you do micro weddings or city hall elopements?
A: Yes! I’ve photographed many small LGBTQ+ weddings and city hall ceremonies. I can help you plan the timing and suggest nearby locations for portraits.
Q: We’re doing a nontraditional wedding. Will that be weird?
A: Not at all. I love when couples do things their own way. Whether you’re getting ready together or having your chosen family walk you down the aisle, I’m in.
Q: How do you help nervous couples?
A: No pressure. We chat before your day. During portraits, I give easy directions like “walk hand-in-hand” or “whisper that inside joke.” It’s about connection, not perfection.
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: All of Massachusetts and New England! Boston, Cambridge, South Shore, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont.
Q: When should we book?
A: Peak dates (May-Oct weekends) book 12-18 months ahead. Off-season: 6-11 months. Reach out anytime!
